Alastair qualified as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Judicature in 1971 and was appointed a Notary Public by the Archbishop of Canterbury in the early 1980s.
Moving to the area with his family in the 1950s, Alastair attended Swanbourne House School and St. Edward's in Oxford. Since achieving his qualifications, he has represented clients in county and magistrates courts dealing with commercial property, wills and probate matters. After a brief absence, Alastair returned to the area in 1973, joining a firm that would later become Fennemores.
As a qualified Notary Public, Alastair can authenticate signatures and the execution of documents by an individual or on behalf of a company. He can authenticate the contents of documents and facts, company powers and records, authenticate personal documents and information, administer oaths and declarations and verifying (via a translator) the translations of documents into English and from English.
Married with four grown-up children Alastair lives in Woburn Sands and is keen on all sports. He is a loyal supporter of Luton Town Football Club and a Vice-President of Bletchley Rugby Club and Aspley Guise Cricket Club. He is a member of the MCC and Woburn Golf Club where he has a handicap of 18.
